Join Anaiya for an evening of rhythmic drumming, community, and intention setting designed to attune your Spirit tempo to that of the Universe.
We will begin our drum circle with a “fire ceremony” to release what no longer aligns. We will then set a new intention, which we will write down and place into water held within a container. Once intentions have been set, the wellspring is placed in the middle of the circle and drumming begins. As the drum vibrations (sound) move over the water it is believed our intentions are activated and enlivened.
How a drum circle works : A drum circle is inspired by the Beings who gather to create a rhythm that is unique to each circle. No one circle ever sounds the same. The circle typically begins with a “lead” rhythm. Others join in organically to create a community rhythm. The drumming usually follows an arc that wanes naturally over the course of the time shared together.
You are invited to bring any type of drum you choose. If you don’t have a drum, an empty bucket, oatmeal container, or otherwise is just as effective in creating vibration. No drumming experience is needed.
